watch for me in the local papers...

Just a quick note to let you know that I will be featured in this week's edition of the Montreal Mirror 'Election Notes' section. This free newspaper is published every Wednesday and is available across Montreal (at Vendome metro station, among many other locations).

I will also be featured in next week's edition of the NDG Free Press, which will be published next Tuesday! If you don't get this paper delivered, you can pick it up at the Saint-Raymond Community Center or Coop la Maison Verte...

Please show your support for our campaign!

Dear residents of NDG-Lachine!

The Green campaign in our riding is officially launched; you may see a few signs up, and more are on the way, but we need your help! Please consider showing your support, either by offering to volunteer or by way of a monetary donation to the campaign. It takes $$ to get the word out, and we really want to make some noise this election! Bear in mind that the federal government offers a very generous tax credit for donations to political parties! We're waiting to hear from you. Thanks!

NDG-Lachine Campaign to be launched Saturday, April 2nd!

The 41st General elections are underway, and the NDG-Lachine team is stronger than ever before, with a great team of volunteers all coordinating to run the best possible campaign.

My candidacy should be official by Saturday evening, April 2nd!

Please see press release, attached.

AGM tomorrow!

It's already here! Our AGM will be happening tomorrow afternoon, at 3 PM, at Saint-Raymond Community Centre, 5600 Upper Lachine Road (a couple of blocks West of Vendome metro). All are welcome, so join us and share your opinion about campaign strategy! Elections can't be far off... the Conservative attack ads have already begun airing!

Elizabeth May coming to NDG!

Another 'save-the-date' announcement! Please note that February 19th and 20th, 2011, the Quebec wing of the GPC will be holding their annual convention, featuring party leader Elizabeth May as well as deputy leader Georges Laracque, right here in NDG!

The organizing committee deemed NDG-Lachine to be an appropriate riding to hold the event, due to our promising results during the last general election, and potential interest from within our community.

2011 AGM announcement

It's that time again! The 2011 AGM has been scheduled for Sunday, January 30th, 2011 at 3PM. Please save the date! The location will be confirmed in a few days.

The meeting is open to all, although only members in good standing will have voting rights. Coffee and snacks will be served... Come and introduce yourself; we can't wait to meet you!

Happy New Year to NDG-Lachine Greens!

Greetings to all of you, as we step into a new year, and a new decade. We can only hope that this year, the tide will finally turn in Canada and this dark period of ominous doings on Parliament Hill will come to a close.

NDG-Lachine’s EDA has a new Executive Committee!

Last June 21st, the NDG-Lachine Federal Green Party Association held its Annual General Meeting, and elected its new Executive Committee as well as its electoral candidate (who has also been officially endorsed by Elizabeth May). We are now ready to move ahead and plan for the next general election, which will likely be called in the fall.

Your team consists of:

Jessica Gal, Chief Executive Officer and electoral candidate
Bill English, Financial Agent
Line Merrette, Communications Chair, and
Colin Baker, Organizing Chair.

Annual General Meeting 2009

Our AGM is finally happening! Please join us at MUCS (2000 Northcliffe, suite # 218), this coming Sunday, June 21st at 12:00 PM. This is less than one block from Vendome metro, between Sherbrooke and de Maisonneuve. If your membership has been current as of 30 days, you may vote - both to elect the executive and on any other proposals brought forward during the meeting. Everyone is more than welcome to attend, though.

Coffee, tea and goodies will be served :)
I hope to see you there. We need your input and your enthusiasm!

Sincerely,
Jessica Gal
nominated candidate and interim CEO

Callout for nominations - EDA executive and candidate

Greetings Green members of NDG-Lachine!

The time has come once again to hold our annual general meeting (AGM). In addition to this post you should each receive an email from me very soon, with the date of the meeting. The purpose of the AGM is first, to deliver reports to you regarding our activities, last election and financial status, and second, to elect our association's executive (president, financial agent, and other positions should candidates come forward) and electoral candidate.
